What we do with
your information.
We ask only for what we need, we use it only for the reason you gave it, and we never sell it. This page explains the rest.
Last updated 12 October 2026
1What we collect
Only what you choose to send us, and a count of visits to the site.
- Contact form
- Your name, email address and message, and a phone number if you add one.
- Application form
- Your child’s name, date of birth and gender, the program you are applying for, and your own name, relationship to the child, phone number and email address. The other questions are optional.
- With both forms
- The date and time, and the internet (IP) address the form was sent from. This helps us stop spam and misuse.
- Parent portal
- Your name, email address and a password. The password is stored in a form that nobody can read, including us.
- Visits to the site
- Which pages are opened, on what kind of device, and from which area. This does not tell us who you are.
Please do not send your child’s medical or financial details through this website. When the school needs them, we ask for them in person.
2Why we collect it
To answer you, and to consider your child for a place at the school.
- To reply to your message or question.
- To review an application and contact you about it.
- To keep the site safe from spam and misuse.
- To see which pages people find useful, so we can improve the site.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3Who can see it
Only the school staff who need it in order to help you.
It is stored on our behalf by the company that hosts this website.
We will pass information to the authorities if the law requires it, or if it is needed to protect a child.
The site uses an encrypted connection, shown by the padlock in your browser. No website can promise perfect security, but we take care with what you trust us with.
4Children’s information
We accept a child’s details only from their parent or legal guardian.
The application form asks you to confirm this before you send it. Children should not send us their own details.
How we use photos of children is set out on our child protection page.
6How long we keep it
Only for as long as we need it.
Messages are kept while we deal with them, and for a while afterwards in case you write again.
Application details are kept while the application is open. If your child joins the school, they become part of the school’s records. If not, you can ask us to delete them at any time.
7Your rights
It is your information. You can ask to see it, to correct it, or to have it deleted.
Rwanda’s law on the protection of personal data and privacy (Law No. 058/2021) gives you these rights. You can also withdraw a consent you have given us.
To use any of them, contact the school office. We may ask a question or two first, to be sure the request really comes from you.
Sometimes we have to keep a record, for example where the law requires it. If that is the case, we will tell you why.
